RoofStage Marks 7th Foundation Day with ‘Jashn-e-Retro’ in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, April 16: RoofStage, an Indian online music community platform that connects independent musicians, fans, has celebrated its 7th Foundation Day with a vibrant musical evening, “Jashn-e-Retro,” at Geeta Gobinda Sadan, Bhubaneswar paying tribute to the timeless Black & White era through evergreen Hindi and Odia songs.
Members and audience dressed in classic black and white, creating a nostalgic ambience. The event featured 23 soulful performances by RoofStage artists, captivating the audience throughout.
Founded in 2019 as a musical movement to revive passion for singing, RoofStage today brings together over 70 members across 8 countries, united by the mission of spreading joy through music. The platform supports India’s growing indie movement by bridging gaps between talent and opportunity. It helps performers reach new audiences without major label backing and encourages local collaborations across genres and languages. RoofStage India also amplifies visibility through social media integration, community events, and curated content partnerships, making it a notable grassroots contributor to the modern Indian music landscape.
Founder Pradeep Mohapatra, in his welcome address, highlighted the role of music in fostering positivity and emotional well-being and mentioned how It has grown over six years into an international platform, connecting artists across more than six countries and giving emerging talent opportunities to perform and gain recognition.
The evening was graced by eminent personalities including eminent singer Sri Subhas Das, Sri Debasish Mohapatra, Dr Himanshu Khatua, Dr (Col) Deepak Mishra, Dr Ranjan Mohapatra, Sri Aurobindo Behera, Sri Manoj Kar etc
The program was engagingly anchored by Amit Gope and Chandana Das, with seamless coordination by the inhouse organizing team including Samir Mishra and Bikash Roychoudhury.
Eminent Anchor Gulshan Nadim was felicitated. The celebration concluded on a high note, leaving the audience with cherished memories of music, nostalgia and togetherness. Odisha members namely Meera Pradhan, Lina Chintak, Tanmayee Dash, Mamata Mishra, Indira Swain, Mita Roy, Sudhanshu Jena, Tapan Jyotishi, Bajra Kabach Pattnaik, Dr Nihar Tripathy, Jatin Panda, Priti Ranjan Mohapatra, Suryakant Pattnaik, Manoj Mishra, Udit Mohanty, Dayanand Ratho, Tutu Parida and Pradeep Mohapatra delivered soulful renditions.
