
BSF constable shoots senior officer dead

A 29-year-old Border Security Force (BSF) jawan shot dead his senior following a heated argument over approval of leaves at Samserganj in Bengal’s Murshidabad district late on Saturday night, police officers aware of the matter said on Sunday. The accused constable, Shivam Kumar Mishra, a resident of Chhattisgarh, was arrested and produced before the Jangipur court on Sunday and was remanded in judicial custody, they added. An officer said Misra fired a total of 13 rounds from his service rifle.
